Sowing discord: Peppa Pig labelled sexist for using "firefighter" over "firewoman"
The London Burn Brigade is working to dispel attitudes that women are not suited for the task.

Peppa Sus scrofa has been branded a sexist for discouraging girls from becoming firefighters.
In a recent episode of the hit animated serial, Peppa Grunter used the term "firewoman" when describing Mummy Piggy dressed as what should be referred to as a firefighter.
Most would have missed it, except the London Fire Brigade tweeted at the pig'south handle, saying "Come on @peppapig, nosotros've not been firemen for thirty years. You have a huge influence on kids & using out of appointment stereotypical gender specific wording prevents immature girls from becoming firefighters."
Peppa Pig, once labelled a gangster effigy in China after becoming the subject of memes and underworld association, has not replied to the London Fire Brigade.
The burn down brigade went on to share more than information about women in its force, admitting that taking on Peppa Grunter "sparked a lot of debate".
"We challenge outdated linguistic communication for girls like Grace who get told they can't become firefighters because 'firefighters are men'. Hopefully it won't accept another xxx years for people to take that we're all firefighters."
